Health, Safety and Environment Officer

Drymix Ltd, a member of the UBP Group, is seeking to recruit a dynamic and committed Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Officer to lead and support the implementation of the Company's Health, Safety and Environmental programmes.  The successful candidate will play a key role in driving the Group's HSE culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, promoting accident prevention initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement across all operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Ensuring compliance with applicable Health, Safety and Environmental legislation, regulations, and company standards.
• Conducting risk assessments, workplace inspections, audits, and incident investigations.
• Coordinating HSE inductions, training sessions, emergency drills, and awareness programmes.
• Monitoring, analysing, and reporting on HSE performance indicators and compliance requirements.
• Promoting a proactive safety culture and employee engagement throughout the organization.
• Maintaining HSE records, permits, documentation, and statutory reports.
• Liaising with regulatory authorities, external service providers, and other stakeholders on HSE-related matters.
• Supporting management in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives and the achievement of HSE objectives.
• Coordinating occupational health, wellness, and environmental management programmes.
• Providing practical HSE guidance, coaching, and support to employees and management.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

• A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in a construction or industrial environment.
• A valid driving license.
• Sound knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Practical experience in risk assessment, incident reporting, and accident investigation.
• Good understanding of workplace hazards, including noise, dust, fumes, temperature extremes, and hazardous substances.
• Ability to assess the safety of machinery, equipment, and installations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and people management skills.
• Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and manage priorities effectively.
• A proactive, hands-on, and results-driven approach.
• An MQA Certified Trainer qualification will be considered a strong advantage.
