JOB SUMMARY
The treasury lead is responsible for supporting the development and execution of the Group’s corporate financing strategy in line with its overall business growth and investment objectives. The role provides financial and strategic support across funding, liquidity management, project financing, investment evaluation, refinancing, and financing transactions. The role requires strong corporate finance, analytical, project management, stakeholder management, and negotiation capabilities, together with the ability to manage multiple financing initiatives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the development and execution of the Group’s strategic financing plans aligned with business growth objectives.
- Assess funding requirements across the Group and identify suitable financing solutions and structures.
- Assist in the Cash flow and Liquidity management.
- Prepare and review of financing strategies for key projects, investments, and refinancing exercises.
- Review Project feasibilities and provide guidance to project teams.
- Assist in negotiating financing terms, conditions, and related documentation.
- Prepare transaction documentation, presentations, reports, and briefing notes for senior management and Board review.
- Coordinate and support the execution of financing transactions, including loans, financial leases, and capital market transactions.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners (i.e. Banks, other financial institutions, legal advisers) throughout transaction processes.
- Monitor financing transaction timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure smooth and timely execution.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, financing covenants, and Group policies while maintaining accurate documentation and records.
- Identify transaction risks and support the implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
- Ensure that Projects Tracker is properly maintained.
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent would be an advantage.
Minimum experience requirements:
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, treasury, strategic financing, investment banking, financial advisory, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financing transactions, funding structures, loan facilities, refinancing, or capital-raising activities.
- Experience in financial modelling, project feasibility analysis, and investment evaluation.
- Experience dealing with banks, financial institutions, investors, legal advisers, and other external stakeholders.
- Experience coordinating complex projects and multiple financing activities would be an advantage.
Key competences (Knowledge, Skills, Attitudes, Behaviours:
- Strong understanding of corporate finance, treasury, funding structures, and financing instruments.
- Knowledge of financial markets, debt financing, liquidity management, and refinancing.
- Understanding of financial risk, financing covenants, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of project finance and investment evaluation principles.
- Strong knowledge of corporate finance principles, financial modelling, financing instruments, cash flow, and liquidity management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
