Job Description

To prepare whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic cold and hot beverages and maintain appealing display, cleanliness, order, set-up and “mise en place” of the different bars, and to deliver professional and friendly service to guests as per the Hotel’s standards.

  • Welcomes, seats and serves guests as per set standards.
  • Converses with guests to obtain feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Provides a speedy, courteous, efficient and friendly service to guests.
  • Answers queries about all items on the bar lists, their basic ingredients and method of preparation.
  • Makes suggestions on the bar’s food, wine and drinks lists.
  • Communicates guests’, visitors’ or repeaters’ preference of meals, drinks, cocktails and special requirements (e.g. allergies), and ascertains that these preferences are adhered to by team members.
  • Regularly checks for satisfaction of customers’ satisfaction.
  • Handles customer complaints efficiently through appropriate interaction and action and/or referral to Management.
  • Keeps accurate records of tasks and duties performed everyday in the respective logbooks
  • Verifies that all delegated duties are carried out in accordance with the Hotel’s standards and with Management instructions.
  • Conducts frequent spot-checks within one’s allocated section with regards to work habits, in order to ensure the efficient implementation of all SOP(s) and to ascertain their professional execution.
  • Maintains cleanliness of bar service area, furniture, fixtures and equipment at all times.
  • Reports bad functioning of material and utilities such as lights, fans and toilets to the Bar Supervisor for any repair.
  • Properly utilities all the materials and equipment made available to the section to avoid breakage and breakdown.
