Quality Controller

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out quality control activities in line with documented procedures and instructions
• Accurately record quality control data in records
• Assist in investigating nonconforming quality control results
• Work cooperatively with operational personnel to assure product safety and quality
• Communicate effectively with management of the quality and production departments to ensure ongoing product quality and safety attributes are maintained
• Fish backbone temperature monitoring, organoleptic assessment and sampling for histamine, salt and heavy metals testing.

Required knowledge and skills

• Understanding of quality assurance procedures and practices
• Basic knowledge of statistical techniques
• Effective communication with operational and other quality personnel
• Accurate and timely recording of product safety and quality data
• Knowledge of the principles of HACCP
• Awareness of critical control points in the manufacturing process and related monitoring and corrective action procedures
• Have a tenacious and self reliant attitude to work
