Gardener

The selected candidate will be responsible for the general maintenance of the grounds, yards, and gardens at C-Care Darné, including carrying out gardening activities such as soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, bed preparation, and planting, while ensuring the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safely operating tools and machinery with minimal supervision.

What you will be doing:

• To do a variety of gardening tasks with the least amount of supervision possible

• Bed preparation, weeding, edging, pruning, mulching, watering, raking, and soil cultivation
• Putting on the proper safety gear when utilizing equipment
• Lawn maintenance and cultivation
• Using and maintaining basic light machines and hand tools
• Adjustments of mower height and quality of cut, etc. Oil level checks and checks for damage to any mower
• To ensure all equipment, machinery and buildings are secure
• To keep the borders, thoroughfares and main road footpaths clear and free from litter at all times

What are we looking for?

• Form IV
• Min 2 years’ experience in similar post
• Should be able to complete a work on a timely manner and good communication skills
