Junior Architect

Werttax International Ltd is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to join its team in Curepipe.

The successful candidate will contribute to research and development projects focused on optimising, automating and digitalising real estate valuation processes. The position combines architectural knowledge with property research, mapping, data analysis and site inspections.

Professional training in real estate valuation will be provided by experienced valuation experts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct property-related research and contribute to the development of digital real estate valuation processes.
• Support the optimisation and automation of existing valuation workflows.
• Review and interpret site plans, house floor plans and other architectural documents.
• Prepare or review drawings in accordance with appropriate draughtsmanship principles.
• Conduct site visits and collect relevant information about properties, buildings and their surroundings.
• Use Google Maps and similar mapping tools to draw polygons and document planning zones, property boundaries and land uses.
• Research and interpret geographical, mapping and zoning information.
• Organise, analyse and maintain property data using spreadsheets.
• Prepare accurate, clear and well-structured project records.
• Perform other duties relevant to the position as required.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• An Advanced Diploma, undergraduate degree or equivalent recognised qualification in Architecture or a closely related field.
• Ability to read and understand site plans, house floor plans and architectural drawings.
• Good knowledge of architectural draughtsmanship.
• Good knowledge of geography, maps, zoning and polygon drawing.
• Very good command of Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software.
• Strong interest in research, automation, digitalisation and real estate valuation.
• A valid driving licence and access to a personal vehicle are mandatory.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a team.
• A proactive, responsible and professional approach to work.
• The selected candidate will be required to learn German, including the technical terminology necessary for the position.

TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The selected candidate will receive professional training from experienced valuation experts. The training will cover real estate valuation procedures, property research, data analysis and the practical application of architectural knowledge in property valuation.

FUEL REIMBURSEMENT

The selected candidate will use their own vehicle for authorised site visits. The company will reimburse fuel expenses according to the mileage travelled on a monthly bassis
