Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY RESULT AREAPRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Cylinder Handling and Maintenance
  • Handle cylinders with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Perform repainting tasks as required for aesthetics and protection.
  • Assist in the maintenance of cylinders, including inspection, testing and necessary repairs.
Housekeeping
  • Maintain Cleanliness of plants and surrounding areas to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
Material Handling
  • Safely load and unload cylinders or other materials in containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent accidents or damage.

Adherence to Safety Protocols
 
  • Strictly adhere to safety guidelines and protocols during all operations.
  • Identify and report any safety hazards or concerns promptly.
Team Collaboration
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and effective communication.
  • Provide assistance to colleagues as needed for various tasks.
 
  • Any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and / or required by the employer.

 Job Requirements

 
The job holder should ideally possess:
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
  • Physical stamina for prolonged periods of standing and manual labour.
  • Proficiency in plumbing and pipe fitting. Knowledge of welding will be a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
