π’ WE ARE HIRING β ACCOUNTANT
HEFTY Ltd | Mauritius
HEFTY Ltd is looking for an experienced, organised and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day accounting activities, financial reporting, statutory compliance, budgeting, cash-flow management and related financial matters.
πΉ Main Responsibilities
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards.
- Maintain proper and accurate accounting records and supporting documentation for all financial transactions.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
- Ensure all statutory requirements are met and liaise with MRA, banks, auditors and other relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare supporting documents and information required for annual audits.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Monitor cash flow and prepare cash-flow forecasts.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Review monthly financial results and prepare variance reports.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Assist management and relevant departments with budget preparation and monitoring.
- Maintain accurate records for projects and other company activities.
- Ensure financial information is securely maintained and kept confidential.
- Prepare accurate financial information and reports required by management.
- Provide financial analysis and reporting as required.
- Ensure accounting records and financial statements are accurate, complete and up to date.
- Carry out any other accounting and financial duties assigned by management.
πΉ Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Experience in a similar accounting position.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of MRA and statutory requirements in Mauritius.
- Experience in preparing financial statements and management accounts.
- Experience in dealing with auditors, banks and relevant authorities.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
