Job Description
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
General Maintenance & Repairs
- Participate in all relevant training programmes and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in daily operations.
- Discuss non-routine maintenance issues, technical concerns and required interventions with the direct supervisor.
- Carry out effective and efficient preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all internal and external areas, in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Perform regular inspections and checks of facilities, equipment and installations to identify defects, potential failures or maintenance requirements.
- Minimise wastage of materials, water, energy and other resources while ensuring proper use and care of maintenance tools and equipment.
- Attend promptly to maintenance requests and carry out repairs in the areas assigned, ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to the required quality and safety standards.
- Report identified defects, breakdowns and maintenance requirements to the supervisor, carry out the required corrective actions and provide appropriate feedback on work completed.
- Complete all maintenance-related paperwork, checklists, work orders, logs and other documentation accurately and within the required timeframe.
Electrical Operations
- Inspect and check electrical systems, installations, equipment and appliances as required, and report any abnormalities or safety concerns immediately.
- Install, replace or repair electrical equipment and appliances as instructed, ensuring compliance with applicable safety procedures and standards.
- Monitor electricity consumption and report any unusual consumption, wastage or potential issues to the supervisor.
Plumbing Operations
- Inspect and check plumbing installations, fixtures, pipes and related equipment to ensure proper functioning and identify leaks or defects.
- Check and record water levels and relevant CWA and gas consumption readings as required, and report any abnormal readings or variations.
- Unclog drains, sinks, pipes and other drainage systems whenever required, ensuring proper functioning and hygiene standards.
- Install, maintain and repair hot water systems, bathroom fixtures, plumbing installations and roofing pipework as required.
Painting & Finishing Operations
- Prepare surfaces and apply decorative and protective finishes to interior and exterior walls, doors, windows, equipment and other surfaces, ensuring a clean and professional finish.
- Carry out painting, varnishing and related finishing works as required, ensuring appropriate preparation, application and finishing standards.
Sustainability & Environmental Responsibilities
- Comply with all sustainability initiatives, environmental standards and practices implemented within the Business Unit.
- Identify and report to the Sustainable Development Department any activity, defect, leakage, wastage or other matter that may have an impact on the environment or society.
- Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in a safe, responsible and environmentally conscious manner, while promoting efficient use of energy, water and materials.
