Job Profile
Rey & Lenferna Ltd is seeking a motivated Technician - Multi Skilled Tradesman to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of civil works, carpentry, welding, metal works, and building-related tasks across various project sites, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
Main Role and Responsibilities
- Knowledge of building infrastructure maintenance and metal works.
- Assist technicians on Maintenance project works.
- Performing carpentry tasks such as repairing or installing doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture. This can also include framing walls or building partitions.
- Painting and finishing surfaces to maintain the appearance and integrity of the building. This includes prepping surfaces, applying paint, and touching up as needed.
- Performing welding tasks to repair, join, or fabricate metal parts and structures. This includes working with steel, aluminium, and other metals to create and repair components.
- Inspecting metal structures for signs of corrosion or rust and taking appropriate measures to prevent or repair damage, such as applying protective coatings or replacing corroded parts.
- Performing routine maintenance tasks on roads, parking and other parking infrastructure to ensure their functionality and safety.
- Addressing specific repair needs such as filling potholes, fixing cracks, repairing railings, and other structural issues.
- Working with other tradesmen, supervisors, and building occupants to ensure that maintenance activities are coordinated and completed efficiently.
- Emergency Repairs: Responding to emergency repair requests to address urgent issues promptly.
- Applying waterproofing treatments to masonry surfaces to protect them from moisture damage.
- Maintenance of tiles, carpet, wallpapers and flooring.
- Ensure health and safety measures are implemented and adhered to.
- To perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
- National Certificate Level 2 in Carpentry, Civil Works, Metal Works, Welding, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry, building and civil field, or metal works.
- English - written and spoken
