Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

About the Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a fast-growing international group operating across multiple African markets.
As the Group continues to expand, we are looking for an experienced Group Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager to strengthen the Finance function and support data-driven financial and strategic decision-making across the business.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic, multi-country and multi-currency environment, and who can combine strong technical financial skills with commercial insight and effective stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and develop the Group's Financial Planning & Analysis function in collaboration with the Group CFO.
- Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting/reforecasting processes across the Group.
- Prepare and present monthly consolidated financial reports, including analysis of variances against budget and prior year.
- Work closely with business unit leaders across different countries to prepare revenue reports and forecasts, identifying key risks and opportunities.
- Lead the implementation of NetSuite across the relevant operations.
- Analyse expense variances and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Participate in monthly financial and operational review meetings and lead discussions around financial performance and variances.
- Support strategic business initiatives, including the preparation of business cases for new business lines and investment opportunities.
- Analyse financial data, trends and performance indicators to support management decision-making.
- Support external audits by providing accurate and timely financial information and analysis.
Key Deliverables – First 12 Months
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute significantly to:
- Successful implementation of NetSuite.
- Development and management of Group budgets, KPIs and reporting templates for performance management.
- Creation of Salesforce dashboards for country and business line managers.
- Analysis of Group receivables and inventory to support working capital optimisation.
- Financial analysis and presentation of data relating to new business initiatives.
- Strengthening the overall FP&A and management reporting capabilities of the Group.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, financial analysis or a related role.
- Experience working in a multi-country and/or multi-currency environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong overall Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong analytical and financial modelling capabilities.
- A proactive, commercially minded and results-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior management and teams across different countries.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
