Job Description

The Warehouse Coordinator supports the Warehouse & Logistics Manager in ensuring the efficient running of warehousing.
The role has a strong operational and supervisory focus, ensuring smooth daily operations, stock accuracy, timely availability of orders for verification prior loading, effective use of resources and compliance with Company procedures.
The job holder acts as second-in-command of the function and oversees day-to-day operations in the absence of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager for the Warehousing part.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate daily warehouse activities, including put away, storage, picking, verification prior loading and house keeping.
2. Ensure proper storage, handling and movement of products to minimise damages, losses and stock discrepancies.
3. Address and Monitor stock accuracy from Control Team cycle counts, bin checks, stock reconciliations.
4. Coordinate orders availability planning and ensure timely and complete deliveries to delivery teams.
5. Supervise Warehouse operational teams, ensuring appropriate manpower allocation and productivity.
6. Monitor attendance, overtime, employee performance and operational discipline.
7. Ensure effective coordination with Sales, Procurement and other departments.
8. Monitor key operational KPIs including stock accuracy, delivery performance, damages, and overtime.
9. Prepare regular operational reports and highlight issues, trends and improvement opportunities to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
10. Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, service levels and operational costs.
11. Ensure proper documentation and adherence to warehouse, verification prior loading procedures.
12. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, Health & Safety and use of PPE.
13. Support stock counts, internal controls and audits and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
14. Handle day-to-day operational issues and escalate significant matters appropriately.
15. Act on behalf of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager during his/her absence to ensure continuity of operations.

 
Profile:
1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Business Management or equivalent.
2. Good knowledge of warehousing operations.
3. Strong supervisory, organisational and problem-solving skills.
4. Ability to manage multiple operational priorities in a fast-paced environment.
5. Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
6. Customer and results-oriented mindset.
7. Good working knowledge of ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
8. Strong sense of accountability, discipline and attention to detail.

 
Experience:
Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in warehousing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/team-management role.
Experience within a high-volume distribution, FMCG, retail or similar environment would be an advantage.
