About the Role
The IT Project Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering IT projects from initiation through to completion. The role works closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and management to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in line with quality, security, and compliance requirements. The IT Project Manager plays a key role in coordinating project activities, managing risks and resources, and driving successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects across the full project lifecycle.
- Define project scope, timelines, deliverables, resources, and milestones.
- Coordinate developers, QA engineers, business analysts, infrastructure teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, and stakeholder communication.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, and change requests.
- Ensure project deliverables meet agreed quality, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, and relevant project records.
- Support Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives where applicable.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and alignment with business objectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Project Management, Business, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience managing IT/software development projects.
- Experience working with technical teams and software development lifecycles.
- Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and traditional project management methodologies.
- Experience with project planning, risk management, resource coordination, and stakeholder management.
- Good understanding of IT governance, information security, and compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks, policies, audit requirements, and maintaining project evidence/documentation is an advantage.
- Experience with project management tools and reporting.
- PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or similar certification is an advantage.
