Job Description

Reporting to the Asset Manager and a member of the Leadership Team, the Centre Manager`s main responsibilities will be day-to-day operations of the mall assigned to him/her and oversee the smooth running of different departments.

Key Activities and Related Responsibilities

Main Duties

  • Manage and build strong relationships with tenants, service providers and stakeholders.
  •  Thorough knowledge of the lease agreements and the local judicial system to enforce it.
  •  Proactively find ways to increase revenue and ensure that vacancy levels are kept at a minimum level.
  • Required to cover minimum one late duty shift per week during weekdays and one weekend shift per month.
  • Set and follow processes and procedures to ensure that the asset is properly maintained and safeguarded.
  • Ensure that tenants pay on time and that proper security is in place for each contract.
  • Provide clear guidance and management to all direct reports ensuring business and personal objectives are set and achieved.
  • Prepare and submit a monthly management report for each property.
  • Drive the marketing strategy of the mall.
  • Prepare the budgets and forecasts for the mall.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Business Administration and/or Property Management, or any other equivalent qualifications in the related field.
  •  Minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar industry at Management level.
  •  Knowledge of Contract Law would be an advantage.
  • Fast and responsive – working to strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • Team Player and leadership skills – maintain close working relationships within team and other employees to achieve goals and profit.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and time management skills.

Roster system 

  1. Late Duty (Once per week maximum)

The employee needs to perform a late duty (starts work at 12h30 and finishes at 20h30), during weekdays (Monday to Thursday).

  1. Weekend Duty (Once per month maximum)

The employee needs to be on duty for any two shifts during the weekend he/she is on duty:

  • Friday late shift (14h00 to 22h00)
  • Saturday early shift (08h30 to 14h00)
  • Saturday late shift (14h00 to 22h00)
  • Sunday shift (08h30 to 15h00)
