We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our Team.

As part of the Accounting Department, your main duties and reponsibilities will be as follows:

• Perform daily bank reconciliation of client accounts
• Review quarterly Bordereaux as issued by cedants and issue debit notes
• Prepare Closings for reinsurers, debit notes and Evidence of Cover for cedants and retrocedants
• Calculate commission per risk using information from signed contracts
• Prepare the quarterly and yearly FSC returns as required by the Insurance Brokers Rules
• Maintain the trade debtors list
• Maintain the source records for each risk bound by brokers
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts
• Assist in preparing audit schedules for year-end financial statements
• Assist in drafting IFRS statutory accounts for year-end
• Draft corporation tax computations
• Issue monthly statement of accounts to trade debtors
• Assist in credit control and cash recover for claims
• Liaise and assist brokers as and when necessary
• Perform KYC procedures with new clients

Perform other duties (including operational) as designated by the Company, as required.

Your Profile:

• University Degree in Accounting, Finance, or ACCA (Ongoing)
• Excellent academic results (SC and HSC results will also be taken into account);
• Outgoing personality and very conversational;
• Excellent command of English and French, both written and spoken;
• 1-2 years of experience working in the Accounting field
