Your responsibilities
Business development

· Open new accounts and generate new business from scratch, with a strong focus on measurable revenue growth.
· Develop commercial opportunities across Madagascar, the Indian Ocean, South Africa, the EU, USA and Middle East, with potential expansion into other markets.
· Understand market needs, market dynamics and competitive positioning, and translate them into relevant product and commercial opportunities.
· Work closely with Group and subsidiary teams to develop commercially attractive, technically feasible and executable customer propositions.
Close involvement with SOPRAL
· Develop a strong understanding of SOPRAL’s products, production processes, capabilities and constraints.
· Spend the necessary time at the SOPRAL site in Madagascar to work closely with the teams and understand the business and the products on the ground.
· Build strong relationships with the local management and operational teams.
· Translate customer requirements into realistic specifications, volumes, quality requirements and commercial proposals.
Feed market and customer intelligence back to SOPRAL and the Group to support product development, sourcing and commercial priorities.
International representation
· Represent Envirium and SOPRAL at regional and international trade fairs, conferences, industry events and customer meetings.
· Develop and maintain a strong international network of customers, partners and industry contacts.
· Travel regularly across the region and internationally to support business development.
Strategic contribution
· Contribute to the Group's commercial strategy and translate strategic objectives into concrete sales plans.
· Monitor markets, competitors and customer trends to identify new opportunities.
· Identify new applications, customer segments and markets for the Group's products.
Report regularly on prospecting activity, pipeline development, conversion, sales and market intelligence.
Your profile
We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial, autonomous and results-oriented business developer who enjoys opening doors and building new business.
You have:
· At least 5 years of successful B2B sales / business development experience, preferably in the food, agro-processing, ingredients or bio-processing industries.
· A proven hunter track record and experience developing new customers or markets from scratch.
· Good understanding of Life Sciences, food processing and/or bioprocessing environments.
· Strong commercial and business acumen, with excellent networking and negotiation skills.
· The ability to understand technical products and translate customer needs into commercial opportunities.
· A hands-on and entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working in a fast-growing company with an international scope and a lean organization.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strong autonomy, organization and ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Fluent French and English. Any additional language is a plus.
· A strong willingness to travel extensively and spend significant time in Madagascar, including stays of several weeks, to develop a deep understanding of SOPRAL's products, processes, teams and operational realities.
· Willingness to travel internationally and represent the Group at trade fairs and customer meetings.
What we offer
· The opportunity to join a fast-growing international group with strong ambitions.
· A highly entrepreneurial role with direct impact on the Group's growth and market expansion.
· The opportunity to work across multiple markets and develop new business from the ground up.
· A close working relationship with the management teams of Envirium and its subsidiaries.
· A human-sized, international and collaborative environment.
· Opportunities for personal growth and professional development.
· A permanent contract with an attractive remuneration package based on experience.
