Alteo Agri Ltd is looking for an Assistant Data Engineer to help ensure the integrity of agricultural data, support operational and management reporting, and progressively contribute to digitalisation, planning and analytical improvements. This is a developmental role for someone who wants to understand the business behind the numbers - not simply process data.

Main Responsibilities

• Validate and reconcile CanePro, weighbridge, meteorological, extraction and other operational data.
• Prepare Harvest and recurring reports; investigate discrepancies, anomalies and missing inputs.
• Analyse key indicators such as TCH, TSH, Extraction % Cane, Harvest Age and weighted measures.
• Work with operational teams and other stakeholders to secure timely, complete and reliable information.
• Use Excel, Pivot Tables and digital tools to improve reporting and support automation while maintaining appropriate human validation.
• Progressively support Budget, Business Plan, COMEX/management reporting and defined digitalization projects.
• Build broad agronomic and business understanding and become a reliable backup on critical data/reporting processes.    

Candidates Profile

• Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics or a related analytical discipline preferred.
• Candidates with a degree in Agricultural Science & Technology, Agriculture, Biotechnology or a related field, with strong data and technology aptitude, will also be considered.
• Good command of Microsoft Excel; Pivot Tables / Power Pivot / BI or automation exposure is an advantage.
• Analytical and curious, with strong attention to detail and the judgement to question results that do not make sense.
• Organized, proactive and comfortable following up information across different stakeholders.
• A fast learner who can retain and apply knowledge and progressively grow beyond the initial core responsibilities.
