Job Description
Drymix Ltd, member of UBP Group, is looking to recruit a Sales Engineer who will report to the Sales Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and develop the Sales Technical team to ensure high-quality technical support and customer service
- Provide expert technical guidance on product applications, site practices, and customer solutions.
- Support the Sales team through site visits, product demonstrations, technical presentations, and customer consultations
- Conduct site inspections, assess application practices, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with company standards
- Investigate technical issues and customer complaints, prepare reports, and propose practical solutions.
- Collaborate closely with the Laboratory, Quality, and Research and Development teams to improve products, application protocols, and customer experience.
- Manage and develop the approved applicator network through assessments, coaching, and technical training
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and product improvement ideas to support business growth and innovation.
- Participate in product trials, field validations, and the launch of new solutions.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement across all technical and site activities.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building Materials, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in technical sales, construction materials, site supervision, application support, or a similar role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, mortars, tile adhesives, waterproofing systems, application techniques, site practices, and technical documentation.
- Proven ability to provide technical support and practical solutions to customers, contractors, applicators, consultants, architects, developers, and hardware clients.
- Experience conducting site visits, product demonstrations, technical assessments, and resolving application-related issues.
- Ability to interpret technical information, prepare reports, and communicate recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Sales, Technical, Quality, and R&D teams.
- Commercially minded with the ability to identify customer needs, support business development initiatives, and contribute to market growth.
- Good planning, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and report writing.
- Possession of a valid driving license and willingness to travel frequently to customer sites across Mauritius.
