Job Description
Join our remote team as a Data Analyst and play a key role in maintaining data accuracy, supporting reporting processes, and delivering meaningful insights to support operational performance.
This is a fully remote position, requiring a reliable high-speed internet connection. All necessary equipment will be provided to enable you to perform your responsibilities effectively from home.
The Role
You will work as a data analyst contractor, owning the maintenance of the company’s core database and reporting infrastructure, and taking end-to-end responsibility for a busy, recurring cycle of internal and partner-facing reports. Depending on current priorities, this may range from well-defined recurring reporting and dashboard maintenance to more strategic work improving data quality, automation, and reporting infrastructure.
The expectation is that you can own the reporting cycle end-to-end: understand where data lives across systems, keep it accurate, deliver reports and dashboards on schedule, and flag issues or improvement opportunities proactively.
Core Responsibilities
Database & Data Management
• Maintain and manage the database(s) underpinning the Latch platform, ensuring data accuracy and integrity across connected systems (including our parent companies system MMT)
• Manage and maintain the existing Power BI report and underlying data model, evolving it as reporting needs change
BI Dashboards & Reporting
• Build and manage BI dashboards within Latch used by internal teams and external partners
• Own the recurring reporting cycle, including weekly and monthly reports such as:
• Weekly: team report, and locker status report
• Monthly: parcel volume reports to partners, installation reports, KPI report to Finance and insight reports DPD
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate manual reporting processes, and uplift reports currently produced manually
Locker Go-Live & Activation Support
• Support the recurring go-live process with partners, coordinating locker activation across internal and partner systems through to go-live
• Track and update activation status across systems, and verify successful connection before locker go-live is confirmed
Team & Platform Support
• Provide ad hoc data support to the wider team as needed
Technology Stack
Core (Required)
• SQL Server / relational databases — querying, maintenance, and data modelling
• Power BI — building and managing dashboards and data models
• Excel — data manipulation and reporting
• Jira — tracking tasks, tickets and locker activation workflows
• Microsoft Azure — App Services, SQL, Storage, Key Vault
Helpful (Not Required)
• Python or similar scripting — useful for automating manual reporting tasks
• Familiarity with the Latch platform's underlying data structures (NestJS /TypeORM on MSSQL) — an advantage, not required
• AI-assisted tools (e.g. Claude Code or similar) — comfort using these to accelerate reporting and automation work
Ways of Working
• Work is planned and tracked in Jira; contractors are expected to maintain their own ticket hygiene
• Asynchronous-first communication, with regularly scheduled live discussions to align on reporting priorities, deadlines and blockers
• Reports to the Business Solutions Director
• Comfortable owning fixed, recurring deadlines (weekly and monthly reporting cycles) without prompting
• AI-assisted work is actively encouraged as an accelerator, but contractors must be able to understand, check and take ownership of any output they deliver
What We're Looking For
• Solid working knowledge of SQL and Power BI — you have built and maintained real dashboards and data models
• Experience owning a recurring reporting cycle across multiple stakeholders and external partners
• Comfortable working across multiple systems (database, Power BI, Jira) to keep data accurate and consistent
• Strong written communication — clear, partner-facing reporting and concise updates
• Self-directed — comfortable owning fixed deadlines and flagging issues early
• Detail-oriented, given the financial and KPI-sensitive nature of several reports
