As our Marketing and Communications team continues to grow, we are looking for a dynamic and passionate Marketing & Events Officer to join us.
Role purpose
The Marketing & Events Officer will contribute to strengthening the visibility and positioning of Imperium Group and its business units through high-quality communications, branding initiatives, corporate projects and events. The ideal candidate will combine strong organisational skills with creativity, attention to detail and the ability to manage projects, suppliers and deadlines effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Communications, Branding & Corporate projects
- Manage the development and coordination of marketing and communication collateral, including brochures, banners, corporate gifts and other branded materials.
- Prepare, format and distribute internal communications, including the internal newsletter and other staff communications.
- Support the distribution of external communications through platforms such as email marketing and WhatsApp
- Coordinate corporate photoshoots, including planning, photographer liaison and logistics.
- Maintain and update client databases to ensure accuracy.
- Update the relevant content on company websites, including newsletters, brochures, job adverts and corporate information.
- Monitor and manage messages and enquiries received through the company’s social media platforms, including Facebook and LinkedIn, ensuring timely responses or appropriate escalation.
- Support the Marketing & Communications team in delivering high-quality output across branding initiatives, communication campaigns and corporate projects.
- Collaborate closely with the Finance Department to track expenditure, process payments and ensure alignment with company financial procedures and guidelines.
Events Management
- Plan, organise and supervise the execution of corporate events, from initial planning through to on-site delivery.
- Coordinate all event logistics, including venues, suppliers, invitations, branding, catering, transport, equipment and other requirements.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, external partners and vendors to ensure smooth delivery.
- Manage supplier database, quotations and event-related expenditure within approved budgets.
- Oversee on-site execution and ensure that events are delivered to the expected standard.
- Plan, coordinate and deliver internal, corporate and alumni events and initiatives.
Research & Monitoring
- Conduct research on competitors, market practices, communication trends and relevant digital tools and provide recommendations to improve communication effectiveness.
- Monitor relevant business, regulatory, industry developments and identify information that may be useful for internal or external communications.
Supplier management
- Liaise with external agencies, website providers and other communication partners when required.
- Support resource allocation and help ensure the cost-effective use of the department's budget.
- Obtain, review and evaluate supplier proposals and quotations.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers where appropriate to ensure value for money and quality delivery.
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in planning and coordinating corporate events.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and French.
- Good command of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook) and confidence working with tools such as Canva and email marketing platforms.
- A proactive and resourceful approach, with the ability to anticipate requirements.
- Strong organisational skills, reliability and attention to detail, with good follow-through.
- Creativity and a willingness to bring ideas and recommendations to the team.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams and stakeholders.
- A good understanding of branding, corporate communications and digital communication channels.
- Excellent planning, organisational and project coordination skills.
- Commercial awareness, with a focus on quality, cost and effectiveness when making recommendations.
- Experience and confidence in working with suppliers, quotations and budgets.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Qualifications and experience
- A degree in Communications, Marketing, Event Management or a related field.
- At least 2-4 years of relevant experience in communications, marketing, events or a similar role.
