Job Description

We seek an exceptional Computer Science teacher with a passion for education, dedication, creativity, and outstanding experience from the best schools worldwide  

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and deliver lessons with clear objectives and assessments.
  • Set challenging tasks to maintain interest and build on prior attainment.
  • Cater to individual student needs and maintain lesson structure, pace and motivation.
  • Use diverse teaching methods, including questioning, resource selection and study skill development.
  • Ensure effective use of time, assessments and school policies on discipline, behaviour and homework.
  • Contribute to curriculum development with clear targets and success criteria.
  • Act as class tutor, supporting the progress and well-being of students.
  • Register attendance, encourage participation and address individual student concerns.
  • Prepare reports and action plans and communicate with staff about student needs.
  • To support break and lunch supervision during term time

 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant subject area or B.Ed.
  • Post Graduate Certificate of Education or a certificate of equivalence.
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of teaching Computer Science in secondary school.
  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Ability to set clear expectations and stretch goals.
  • A depth of understanding in the relevant subject area.
  • Ability to judge learning effectiveness.
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a growth mindset.
  • Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare.

 

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in IGCSE, A Level and IBDP Programmes
  • Previous experience in an international school setting
