Job Description
Key Responsibilities and Duties
Guest Activities and Entertainment
- Welcome guests and provide information on recreation programs and facilities.
- Organize and conduct daily recreational activities, games, sports, and entertainment programs.
- Encourage guest participation in activities and events.
- Promote scheduled activities through direct guest interaction and announcements.
- Assist in planning special events, themed activities, and seasonal programs.
Recreation Facility Operations
- Monitor and maintain recreation areas such as swimming pools, fitness centers, sports courts, kids' clubs, and beach facilities.
- Ensure recreational equipment is available, clean, and in good working condition.
- Set up and dismantle equipment required for activities and events.
- Report maintenance issues and damaged equipment to management.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent guest service at all times.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries and requests.
- Handle guest concerns or complaints and escalate when necessary.
- Build positive relationships with guests to enhance overall satisfaction.
Safety and Compliance
- Ensure guests follow facility rules and safety guidelines.
- Monitor activities to ensure a safe environment for all participants.
- Provide basic first aid assistance when required and report incidents according to company procedures.
- Adhere to health, safety, and emergency procedures.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain attendance records and activity reports.
- Assist in the preparation of activity schedules and promotional materials.
- Keep inventory of recreational equipment and supplies.
- Support the Recreation Manager with operational and administrative tasks.
Teamwork and Coordination
- Work closely with other hotel departments to coordinate guest activities.
- Assist colleagues during special events and peak operational periods.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions.
Qualifications
Education
- Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
- Certificate or Diploma in Recreation, Sports Management, Hospitality, Tourism, Physical Education, or a related field is an advantage.
Experience
- Previous experience in recreation, entertainment, hospitality, tourism, sports, or customer service is preferred.
- Experience in a hotel, resort, club, or leisure facility is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies

- Energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic personality.
- Ability to lead group activities and engage guests of different ages and cultures.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.

Additional Requirements
- First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.
- Ability to swim may be required depending on the facility.
- Flexible to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
