Job Description
- To look after guest safety, and address any guest issues as quickly as possible, ensuring that they are completely happy with the work done.
- To complete activities on the preventive maintenance schedule as specified in hotel plans.
- To look after all the tools supplied by the Hotel in a professional manner, and correctly maintain and deposit them after finishing the shift.
- To perform engineering work in the guest room like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, repairing all types of hardware, electrical equipment including all lighting fittings, sockets and A/C systems.
- To test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment in the guest room.
- To Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
- To carry out specific oral and written instructions.
- To perform other duties assigned by the Chief Engineer.
- To clean all work areas after finishing the tasks properly.
- To follow all safety procedures while carrying out any tasks.
- To maintain effective communication with the Shift Leader at all times.
- To actively participate in the energy conservation programs of the Hotel.
- To utilize or recommend usage of all environmentally-friendly products in the work place.
- To suggest cost saving ideas as and when possible, not limited to the Engineering Department.
Qualifications
Qualification:
• Middle or Secondary Education + Additional training or certificates in the relevant field is a plus.
Experience:
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in hotel industry.
• Proven experience working in a top luxury resorts is a plus.
Technical skills:
• Knowledge of operation of equipments and the job.
• Ability to find fault and rectify subsystems.
• Ability to work in a fast environement.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable events.
• Fluency in English or another language, written and verbal communication.
