Based at our workshop in the North (St Antoine), you will be a core part of the manufacturing process. You will work directly with raw materials to build, assemble, and finish a wide variety of custom signs. This is a highly practical role requiring excellent manual dexterity, precision, and a strong understanding of fabrication techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Sign Fabrication: Cut, shape, and assemble materials including acrylic, ACM (Aluminum Composite Material), PVC, high-density boards, and aluminum to build custom signage and luminous boxes.
Vinyl Application: Expertly prepare surfaces and apply vinyl graphics, decals, and wrapping to various substrates without bubbling or misalignment.
Finishing & Assembly: Fabrication and assemble signs to a high finish, apply 3D lettering and structural components securely.
Machine Operation: Safely use hand power tools (including grinder, drill, saws, etc) for precision cutting and shaping.
Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet exact design specifications and our high quality standards before they are loaded for site installation.
Workshop Maintenance: Keep the production area organized, clean, and safe, maintaining tools.
Requirements
Location Constraint: Candidates must currently reside in the Northern region of Mauritius to ensure easy and reliable commutes to the St Antoine workshop.
Experience: Proven hands-on experience in signage manufacturing, custom fabrication, woodworking, or light metalwork. Experience with vinyl application is a major advantage.
Technical Skills: Comfortable reading basic structural layouts or production files. Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
Physical Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of the role, including lifting raw materials and assembling large-format signs.
Attributes: High attention to detail, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a busy production team.
