Stylia Villas, a boutique collection of private luxury villas in Trou d’Eau Douce, is seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to support our Head Cook in providing quality dining services to our guests.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone who can confidently prepare meals, work independently when required, and maintain the standards expected in a high-end hospitality environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Head Cook with the preparation and service of breakfasts, lunches, dinners, and private barbecues.
- Prepare and cook meals independently, following established menus, recipes, and presentation standards.
- Take responsibility for kitchen operations when the Head Cook is on leave or otherwise unavailable.
- Ensure that guest meals are prepared on time and according to individual preferences, dietary requirements, and special requests.
- Assist with food preparation, portion control, storage, and stock monitoring.
- Help identify purchasing requirements and report shortages to the Head Cook.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen in accordance with food safety standards.
- Work closely with the villa management and service teams to ensure a smooth and personalised guest experience.

Candidate profile
- Previous experience as a Cook, Assistant Cook, or Commis Chef in a hotel, restaurant, guesthouse, or private villa environment.
- Ability to prepare a range of breakfast dishes, main courses, and simple desserts.
- Comfortable working independently and managing meal preparation without constant supervision.
- Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and proper food storage.
- Reliable, well-organised, and attentive to detail.
- Positive attitude, strong team spirit, and a genuine interest in guest satisfaction.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
- Residence in Trou d’Eau Douce or the surrounding area would be an advantage.
