Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in IT.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in network administration.
Advanced computer literacy, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server.
Good understanding of current and emerging technologies.
Strong knowledge of network management, administration and maintenance.
Practical knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, mail servers and internet connectivity.
Strong diagnostic skills.
Good supervisory skills.
Strong communication, influencing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively influence and persuade stakeholders.
Ability to analyse technical issues, identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.

Responsibilities:

Quality management - Create and update documentation for ISO 27001 and 9001 to ensure compliance.
Network Administration, security and maintenance - Monitor and maintain anti-virus software, including deployment and patches. Monitor and maintain firewalls, including trend analysis, implement corrective actions such as rule modifications and alerts where necessary. Ensure Windows updates are deployed as required.
Backup and restore procedures - Conduct and verify backups, maintain logs, conduct troubleshooting and propose new solutions where required.
System Administration - Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, mail server, internet connectivity to ensure system availability at all times.
System maintenance - Ensure major infrastructure components are up-to date and major issues are repaired timely by appointed contractors or internally where possible.
Disaster recovery - Implement and maintain the disaster recovery plan.
Helpdesk assistance - Supervising level 1 helpdesk and act as an escalation point.
