Job Title:            Campus Driver

Campus:             Mauritius

Reporting to:      Senior Facilities and Administrative Officer

 

Overall Purpose:

The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and professional transportation services for staff, students, visitors, and university materials.

 

Principal Duties:

 ·        Safely transport staff, students, visitors, and authorised guests to and from designated locations.

·        Deliver and collect documents, equipment, supplies, and other university materials as required.

·        Plan and adjust travel routes to ensure efficient and timely journeys, taking into account traffic conditions and roadworks.

·        Assist with the loading, unloading, and handling of materials.

·        Support university events and activities by providing transportation, logistical assistance, and event setup support.

·        Ensure university vehicles are clean, presentable, roadworthy, and properly maintained at all times.

·        Maintain accurate vehicle logbooks, mileage records, and other related documentation.

·        Comply with all road traffic regulations, health and safety requirements, and university policies.

·        Report accidents, incidents, vehicle damage, traffic fines, or safety concerns promptly to management.

·        Ensure vehicles are parked and operated responsibly and securely.

·        Carry out any other duties reasonably assigned by the line manager, consistent with the nature of the role.

Essential:

·        Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

·        Driving experience

·        Sound knowledge of road safety regulations.

·        Good communication skills.

·        Reliable, punctual and customer-service oriented.         

·        Ability to work odd hours when required
