Job Description
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day activities of the Compliance team, ensuring effective execution of compliance monitoring, AML/CFT controls and regulatory requirements.
- Review and validate post-monitoring of lease and fixed deposit files based on risk ratings and financing amounts, ensuring consistency and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure timely updating and maintenance of the Compliance Monitoring List and related compliance trackers and dashboards.
- Lead the review of customer due diligence (CDD) files prior to onboarding and ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate the preparation of compliance report for submission to Management, the Audit Committee and the Board.
- Act as primary point of contact for internal and external auditors, coordinating audits and tracking remediation actions.
- Provide guidance and advisory support to operational teams and management on compliance and AML/CFT matters.
- Oversee sanctions, PEP and adverse media screening processes and ensure appropriate escalation of matches or alerts.
- Support the preparation of the Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA) and other regulatory submissions, including fraud, cyber and Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) reports.
- Review and ensure timely submission of Targeted Financial Sanctions (TFS) and UNSC-related reports, including nil returns within regulatory deadlines.
- Monitor compliance risks and ensure timely escalation of breaches, control weaknesses and remediation actions.

- Good judgement and ability to escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Risk Management or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Certifications such as CAMS, ICA or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Minimum of 4–6 years of relevant experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, Risk Management, Internal Audit or a related function within the banking or financial services sector.
