  • To carry out all routine preventative maintenance as per schedules and rectify accordingly. 
  •  To carry out specific electrical repairs in the event of damage or breakdown quickly and efficiently.
  • To have thorough knowledge of the manufacturers’ instructions and manuals to ensure equipment is repaired according to the correct methods.
  • To report any abnormal or extraordinary incidents to the Chief Engineer for his action and follow up.
  • Liaises with Chief Engineer to order specific spare parts or equipment necessary to execute effective maintenance.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Checks and collects supplies from the engineering stores according to hotel procedure. 
  • Ensures that all departmental reports and forms are completed accurately and punctually.    
  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
  •  Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with Occupational and Safety Act.
  •  Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
  •   Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
  •  Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
  •  Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors. 
  •  Contributes to the morale and team spirit of the hotel by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues.
  •   Performs additional duties as directed by supervisors.
  • Makes appropriate suggestions and recommendations to supervisors for the general improvement of the hotel.
  •  Is fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.
  •  Maintains a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform, and body language.
  • Is polite and professional in any situation where the image or regulation of the hotel is represented.
  •  Attends meetings and training as required by supervisors.
  • Ensures that all activities are carried out honestly, ethically, and within the parameters of Law.
