Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
About the Role
We are currently looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing quantity surveying activities from measurement and tender preparation through to quotations, cost follow-up and claims administration.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Quantity Surveyor with strong technical, analytical and commercial skills who is looking to take on a hands-on role within a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate quantity measurements and take-offs based on drawings, specifications and project requirements.
- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Assist with tendering processes, including the preparation, analysis and submission of tender documents.
- Prepare and review quotations and ensure that pricing is accurate and commercially viable.
- Follow up on quotations, tenders and commercial submissions with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs and assist with cost control and budget tracking.
- Review project documentation, measurements and variations to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare, assess and follow up on claims related to completed or ongoing works.
- Assist with the preparation of supporting documentation for payment applications and valuations.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, consultants and other relevant parties on commercial and contractual matters.
- Maintain accurate records of measurements, quotations, tenders, variations, claims and other project-related documentation.
- Identify potential cost implications and provide appropriate commercial input to support project decisions.
- Ensure all quantity surveying activities are carried out accurately and within the required deadlines.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying or a similar role.
- Strong experience in measurements, BOQs, tendering, quotations and claims.
- Good understanding of construction processes, project costing and commercial practices.
- Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with project teams.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in English and French.
- A valid driving licence and access to a private vehicle.
