ROLE OF THE OFFICER - INTERNATIONAL PAYMENTS

The incumbent for this role is a critical element within the Bank’s back-office department for the accurate and timely recording and processing of international payments.

The role operates in line with the guidelines of Bank of Mauritius as well as internal procedures and policies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Cross border Payments: Efficiently process Inward and Outward Remittances
• Reconciliation and Reporting: Manage outstanding operations, investigate payment discrepancies, perform daily reconciliation of transactions, attend to queries/requests in a timely and accurate manner to meet stakeholders' expectations
• Advisory: Assist frontliners with cross-border payments and respond to general inquiries while maintaining excellent service standards

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

Your Track Record

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Banking, or a related field.

Proven expertise of 3+ years of hands-on cross border payments, within a fast-paced banking ecosystem.

The Rulebook

Good knowledge of Central Bank guidelines, local financial legislations, and airtight KYC & AML/CFT defences.

The Fintech Code

Mastery of the financial messaging , from legacy SWIFT matrices (MT1xx,  MT2xx etc…) to ISO 20022 messaging standards (Pacs.008 & Pacs.009, etc…)

Digital Literacy

Sharp efficiency with the Microsoft Office suite to manage, analyze, and present operational data.
