Job Description
The Manager – Financial Reporting will
be responsible for overseeing the preparation, accuracy and timely submission
of the Bank’s financial and regulatory reports. The role covers IFRS financial
reporting for the Bank, its subsidiary and holding company, as well as
consolidated reporting, tax compliance, regulatory requirements and financial
controls.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial
statements in accordance with IFRS for the bank, its subsidiary and its holding
company.
· Preparation of consolidated financial statements.
· Regulatory reporting in line with Bank of Mauritius
and other statutory requirements.
· Timely preparation and filing of tax returns with the
MRA.
· Monitoring of general ledger.
· Liaise with internal and external auditors, regulators
and relevant stakeholders .
· Define and adhere to policies, processes, procedures
and controls.
· Ensure compliance to banking regulations.
· Provide support to finance projects.
Prerequisites
· Fully qualified ACCA member
· Minimum 5 year’s post qualification experience, preferably
in the banking or financial services sector
· Strong knowledge of IFRS
· Sound knowledge of the local tax
regulations
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Ms Office.
· Sound knowledge of a banking or accounting software
· Ability to demonstrate managerial capabilities
· Possesses good understanding of internal control
systems in a banking or financial Institution.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Adherence to deadlines
Skills
· Significant experience in financial reporting, with
strong knowledge of IFRS and preparation of financial statements.
· Hands-on experience in regulatory reporting, financial
consolidation and statutory compliance within a banking or financial services
environment.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the
ability to identify financial issues, assess risks and implement effective
solutions.
· Proven managerial and leadership skills, with the
ability to lead, motivate and develop a finance team.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder management and
organisational skills, with a strong focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.to
