Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:


Participate in a structured rotational programme across operational, commercial, warehousing and HSSE departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the freight forwarding and logistics business.
Support ocean and air freight import and export operations, including shipment coordination, carrier and airline bookings, and preparation of shipping and customs documentation.
Assist with customs clearance activities, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, tariff classifications and the correct application of Incoterms.
Contribute to freight costing, pricing and customer quotations, including the development of multimodal transport solutions.
Assist in project logistics, including heavy lift, breakbulk and out-of-gauge cargo, as well as route surveys and project planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare reports, presentations and operational analyses, while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.

Work alongside the Commercial and Key Account teams on tenders, customer presentations, CRM management, customer relationship activities and business development opportunities.

Qualification & Competencies:


Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Business Management, Transport, or a related field or relevant qualifications acceptable to Management.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Analytical, organised and detail-oriented.
A strong communicator and team player.
Customer-focused with a solutions-oriented mindset.
Willing to work across different departments and learn the business from the ground up.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication skills.
