IT & Digital Transformation Officer

AW Wong Ltd is a well-established company operating in the packaging, biodegradable and compostable products industry. We are recruiting an IT & Digital Transformation Officer to support the company’s digitalisation projects, implementation of AI solutions and day-to-day IT requirements. Please note that the successful candidate is not expected to be an expert in every technology from day one. Strong fundamentals, learning ability and a collaborative approach are central to this role.

 

Main responsibilities

•         Analyse and document existing business processes and identify opportunities for digitalisation and automation.

•         Assist with the evaluation, selection and implementation of ERP, CRM, AI and workflow automation solutions.

•         Design, configure and maintain AI agents for selected business processes.

•         Connect business systems and applications through APIs and other integration methods.

•         Develop scripts and simple applications to support automation and data processing.

•         Test AI solutions for accuracy, reliability, security and suitability before deployment.

•         Maintain databases and support the quality, availability and security of company data.

•         Coordinate with software providers, consultants and other external IT partners.

•         Provide basic IT support for computers, printers, networks, email accounts and business software.

•         Troubleshoot hardware, software and connectivity issues.

•         Manage user accounts, access permissions, backups and basic cybersecurity measures.

•         Maintain an inventory of IT equipment, software licences and subscriptions.

•         Train employees in the use of new systems, AI tools and digital processes.

•         Document systems, procedures, changes and digitalisation projects.

Candidate profile

•         Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.

•         Approximately 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in IT, data reporting, business systems or a related environment.

•         Career level: Junior to Intermediate professional

•         Practical knowledge of Python or JavaScript.

•         Understanding of APIs, REST, JSON, webhooks and system integration.

•         Working Knowledge of databases, SQL and data quality principles.

•         Understanding of AI models, AI agents, prompt design, tool calling and the limitations of AI-generated outputs.

•         Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation, or RAG, would be an advantage.

•         Experience with automation platforms such as Microsoft Power Automate, n8n, Make or Zapier would be an advantage.

•         Understanding of authentication, user permissions, data privacy and cybersecurity.

•         Familiarity with ERP or CRM systems would be an advantage.

•         Practical knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows, networking and general IT support.

•         Able to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions.

•         Good troubleshooting, communication and organisational skills.

•         Able to work independently and coordinate with internal users and external providers.
