Metal Iron & Steel Company Ltd (MISCO) is looking for a motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team in Mauritius.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and growing sales of MISCO steel products across the Mauritian market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Actively identify and approach new customers.
• Sell directly to building contractors, construction companies, hardware stores and other businesses within the construction sector.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Conduct regular customer visits and follow up on sales opportunities.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate sales within approved pricing guidelines.
• Achieve agreed monthly sales and tonnage targets.
• Follow up on outstanding accounts and be responsible for ensuring customers make payments within their agreed credit terms.
• Work closely with the accounts and management teams regarding customer payments and overdue accounts.
• Monitor competitor pricing and market activity.
• Provide regular feedback on customer demand, opportunities and market conditions.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in sales or business development.
• Experience in the steel, construction, building materials or hardware industry will be a strong advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Confident approaching new customers and developing business from the ground up.
• Commercially minded and target-driven.
• Comfortable following up firmly and professionally on customer payments.
• Valid driving license.
• Able to work independently and manage a customer portfolio.
