Job Description

DistriPC Ltd (Elytis) – a member of Leal Group  - is currently looking for a Retail Merchandiser.

The Retail Merchandiser will be mainly responsible for ensuring that our retail hardware products are optimally displayed, stocked, and presented across retail partner stores to maximize visibility, sell-through, and brand impact.

The role focuses on translating merchandising strategies into effective in-store execution, managing planograms, product placement, promotional displays, and stock availability, to drive sales and strengthen the company's brand presence at the point of sale.

Main Duties:

Visual Merchandising & Display: Set up, maintain, and refresh product displays, planograms, and shelving in line with brand guidelines to maximize product visibility and appeal.

Stock Management & Availability: Monitor stock levels at retail partner stores, identify replenishment needs, and coordinate with the sales and logistics teams to prevent out-of-stock situations.

Promotional Execution: Implement in-store promotional campaigns, POP/POS materials, and seasonal displays, ensuring full promotional compliance and timely rollout.

Store Visits & Coverage: Conduct regular visits to assigned retail outlets to audit product presentation, pricing accuracy, and shelf share versus competitors.

Retail Relationship Support: Build and maintain productive working relationships with store staff and managers to secure prime shelf space and cooperation on displays.

Market Intelligence: Collect and report on competitor activity, pricing, shelf positioning, and consumer trends to inform merchandising and commercial decisions.

Reporting: Provide systematic reporting (with photos/data) on store conditions, display compliance, stock levels, and campaign performance.

General Duties: Perform any other related duties as requested by the Head of Department to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

Education: Higher School Certificate (HSC) as a minimum. A Diploma or Certificate in Marketing, Business, Retail Management, or a related field would be an advantage for a merchandising role.

Relevant Experience: A minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a retail merchandising, retail sales, or in-store field role — preferably within consumer electronics, hardware, or FMCG distribution.

Merchandising Knowledge: Practical understanding of visual merchandising, planogram execution, and point-of-sale (POP/POS) display principles.

Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel for stock and display reporting).

Sector Experience: Prior experience merchandising for a recognized electronics or hardware brand or working directly with major retail chains.

Language Skills: Fluency in English and French; Creole an asset for engaging with in-store staff.
