Job Description
A leading and diversified organisation is seeking an experienced and strategic Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its Executive Leadership Team. This is a high-impact role responsible for driving the Group's financial strategy, governance, and long-term sustainability while supporting ambitious growth objectives.
The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors, ensuring sound financial management, effective risk oversight, and regulatory compliance across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the Group's financial strategy in line with business objectives.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and capital allocation processes.
- Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making.
- Drive initiatives that enhance profitability, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth.
Financial Management & Governance
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and financial analyses.
- Manage treasury, cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
- Strengthen internal controls, financial governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Lead relationships with external auditors, financial institutions, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks.
- Support the Board and Audit & Risk Committee through robust financial reporting and governance.
- Foster a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Executive Leadership
- Act as a strategic partner to the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team.
- Contribute to business transformation, expansion, and investment initiatives.
- Represent the organisation in discussions with key financial stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
- Provide high-level oversight of support functions, including Human Resources, Information Technology, and Administration, while empowering functional leaders to manage day-to-day operations.
Candidate Profile
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline (Master's degree is an advantage).
- Minimum of 10–15 years' progressive finance leadership experience, including senior executive or CFO-level responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate finance, treasury management, taxation, and financial governance.
- Demonstrated experience leading audits, financial planning, budgeting, and risk management.
- Proven ability to influence executive stakeholders and contribute to strategic business decisions.
- Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
