Job Purpose

As a laundry chemist, he works closely with the Senior Technical Sales Manager to ensure an efficient washing performance of the products supplied to the laundry. He has the responsibility to perform analysis on wash bath and keep record of quality assurance and quality control records. The role encapsulates working in close collaboration with the head of the department to provide regular feedback on any required process and product improvement. The role requires him to be proactive as well as reactive to certain situations. He is by nature confronted to extreme pressure to deliver quality service in terms of reporting to both internal and external customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Perform chemical analysis on wash bath to ensure washing performance of our products and prepare a test report on a daily basis.
• Ensure that products received on site at Washright is as per expected quality and report any deviation to the head of department.
• Calibrate dosing pumps according to a predetermined schedule. This service will verify that the quantity of chemicals dosed is within set limits.
• Attend to unexpected issues with the dosing system.
• Perform preventive maintenance on dosing pumps in collaboration with the Technician on a weekly basis and issue report on jobs completed.
• Give regular feedback to the Technical Sales Manager on the washing performance and efficiency.
• Participate in weekly inventory of chemicals on site and assist in stock take and order preparation.
• Attend to complaints pertaining to stains and other respective problems occurred and liaise with concerning departments to sort our issues.
• Ensure that there are no idle time and wastage and minimum breakdown of the dosing pumps.
• Provide technical assistance to the customer.
• Ensure Health & Safety and Housekeeping measures are followed strictly.
• File laundry chemical service reports on a weekly basis
• Any other jobs which might be important for the proper running of our dosing pumps and chemicals on site.

 

Job Requirements

• HSC holder with Chemistry.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good planning and coordinating skills.
• Good analytical skills and at ease with laboratory measures.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
