Job Description

About the Role The Accounts Officer is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounting transactions, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements. The role supports the Finance Department in managing day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining the integrity of financial information. Key Responsibilities Requirements Key Responsibilities • Process and record financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner. • Assist in managing accounts receivable, including invoicing, customer account reconciliation, and collection follow-up. • Assist in managing accounts payable, including supplier invoices, payment processing, and vendor account reconciliation. • Maintain accounting records, ledgers, and supporting documentation. • Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies when required. • Support month-end and year-end closing activities. • Prepare financial reports, schedules, and summaries as requested by management. • Monitor and maintain customer and supplier account records. • Assist with cash, bank, and petty cash reconciliations. • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company procedures, and statutory requirements. • Liaise with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders on financial matters. • Provide general administrative support to the Finance Department. • Undertake any other accounting, finance, or administrative duties as assigned by management. Nice to Have What We Offer Qualifications • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 2–4 years of experience in an accounting or finance role. • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is an advantage. Knowledge & Skills • Sound knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications. • Experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar). • Good analytical and numerical skills. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
