We're looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on building and maintaining our automation framework while also leading our QA team in Mauritius and coordinating with a remote QA engineer.

Quality is an integral part of our engineering process. We work AI-first, using modern AI coding assistants to accelerate development and testing, and we're looking for someone who embraces these tools while applying strong engineering judgment.

What You'll Do

Test Automation

• Maintain and continuously expand our Playwright + TypeScript automated regression suite.
• Increase automation coverage by converting manual regression scenarios into reliable automated tests.
• Design and maintain end-to-end test suites, including page objects, fixtures, reusable utilities, and test data management.
• Develop API-level automated tests against backend services using typed API clients—not just UI-driven testing.
• Use AI coding assistants (such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily workflow to develop, refactor, and debug automated tests while validating the quality of AI-generated code.
• Own the health of our GitHub Actions CI pipeline by investigating failures, eliminating flaky tests, and ensuring regression suites remain reliable.
• Validate end-to-end business workflows across player web, mobile, retail/POS, and back-office systems, including betting, settlements, wallets, and bonus functionality.

QA Leadership & Coordination

• Lead and coordinate a QA team of three engineers, including one remote team member.
• Plan testing activities, assign work, coordinate regression cycles, and manage release sign-offs.
• Represent QA during daily engineering stand-ups and release planning.
• Collaborate with developers and our QA team in Israel to ensure testing scope, priorities, and release quality remain aligned.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for QA across engineering, product, and management teams.
• Support and mentor manual testers as they develop automation skills and adopt AI-assisted testing practices.
• Train the Technical Support team on new features, known issues, and troubleshooting procedures to improve customer issue resolution.
• Maintain regression documentation and test cases in ClickUp.
• Provide regular reporting on automation coverage, regression results, defect trends, and overall product quality.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Strong experience with Playwright. Candidates with Cypress or Selenium experience who are willing to transition to Playwright are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong JavaScript or TypeScript development skills.
• Practical experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily engineering workflow.
• Experience writing and maintaining automated REST API tests.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions, including debugging failures and reducing flaky tests.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating QA activities. Previous formal management experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable working with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience applying AI beyond code generation, including automated test generation, log analysis, failure investigation, or building AI-powered QA tools.
• Experience within sports betting, casino, or iGaming platforms.
• Knowledge of betting concepts such as odds, settlements, wallets, bonuses, and responsible gaming.
• Experience testing retail/POS systems or multi-tenant platforms.
• Familiarity with ClickUp or similar test management tools.
• Experience testing mobile web applications and handling device- or browser-specific behaviours.
