Position Overview

The Credit Controller plays a pivotal role in managing the organization's accounts receivable and ensuring timely payment from customers. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, resolving payment discrepancies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize cash flow and minimize credit risk. The Credit Controller contributes to the overall financial health and operational efficiency of the company.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain accurate accounts receivable records and aging reports
  • Proactively follow up with customers on outstanding invoices and delinquent accounts
  • Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and customer inquiries
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address credit-related concerns
  • Analyze customer credit history and financial data to assess credit risk
  • Prepare and distribute periodic reports on accounts receivable status and collections performance
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and industry regulations
  • Participate in the development and implementation of credit control strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • 2-4 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or collections
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
