Job Profile
Rey & Lenferna Ltd is seeking a
dynamic and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The
successful candidate will play a key role in the financial and contractual
management of MEP projects, ensuring effective cost control, accurate
valuations and successful project delivery from inception through to
completion.
Main Role and Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit monthly payment applications & assist in negotiation of Final Account and ensure payment cycle is respected.
- Value subcontractors progress of works and prepare valuation
certificates for payment.
- Prepare reports, analysis, contracts, budgets, risk
assessment and other documents.
- Attend Client/Site meetings as and when required.
- Maintain and update a variation register for each project.
- Prepare contractual notifications & claims and follow up
of status until determination of same.
- Apply FIDIC suite and other common Standard Conditions of
Contract.
- Assess Legal and Financial implications on projects and
report to management.
- Monitor costs on projects and ensure budget costs are not
exceeded.
- Any other cognate duties as assigned by the HOD.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude
- Well-versed with contracts and safety compliance.
- Knowledge of FIDIC or other standard forms of contract.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quantity surveying
software.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
