Our client is recruiting an IT Manager

 

REPORTS TO:                  Managing Director

 

DUTIES:              The IT Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s information technology infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and secure operation of IT systems, networks, and applications. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, managing projects, and developing strategies to align IT initiatives with business goals. The IT Manager will also be responsible for maintaining cybersecurity protocols, managing budgets, and providing technical support to the organization.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

IT Infrastructure Management:

                              Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, hardware, and software.

                              Ensure the availability, reliability, and security of IT systems and networks.

                              Manage data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.

                              Monitor system performance and address any issues or outages promptly.

                              Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for IT-related services.

 

Cybersecurity:

                              Develop and implement cybersecurity policies and procedures to protect the company’s data and systems.

                              Monitor and respond to security incidents and threats.

                              Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

                              Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards.

                              Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs for employees.

 

Team Leadership and Development:

                              Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, including network administrators, system administrators, and support staff.

                              Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities to team members.

                              Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations.

                              Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

 

Project Management:

                              Plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, including system upgrades, software implementations, and network expansions.

                              Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources.

                              Collaborate with other departments to understand their IT needs and deliver effective solutions.

                              Ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

 

IT Strategy and Planning:

                              Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the company’s business objectives.

                              Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.

                              Manage the IT budget, including cost forecasting and financial reporting.

                              Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and services to enhance the company’s IT capabilities.

 

Technical Support:

                              Oversee the provision of technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

                              Establish and manage helpdesk services to ensure timely and efficient resolution of IT-related problems.

                              Maintain an inventory of IT assets and manage the lifecycle of hardware and software.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

                              Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

                              Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a similar role.

                              Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and cybersecurity practices.

                              Proven experience in managing IT projects and teams.

                              Proficient in IT management tools and software, including ERP systems, networking tools, and cybersecurity software.

                              Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

                              Strong communication and leadership abilities.

                              Familiarity with data protection regulations and industry standards
