Job Description

As an Assistant Accountant, you will support the finance team in various financial and administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes and compliance with internal and financial policies. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant to maintain accurate financial records and prepare reports.

1.      Foreign Supplier Management

·         Verify the accuracy and completeness of invoices prior to processing

·         Timely processing of approved invoices on the ERP

·         Check payment of invoices against bank statements

·         Allocation of payments against invoices on the ERP and ensure payable ageing is well-maintained

·         Perform monthly reconciliation of supplier statements and resolve discrepancies

·         Maintain and ensure completeness of downpayment listing made to suppliers

 

2.      Import Management

·         Obtain import files and perform verification of documents and keep a log for missing documents

·         Ensure completeness of import file on a weekly basis

 

3.      Treasury Management

·         Update and plan cash flow on a weekly basis

·         Assist in short-term and long-term cash flow forecasting

·         Ensure payments are as per cash flow planning

 

4.      Order Management

·         Oversee and review order management file prepared by the Accounts Officer

·         Ensure accuracy and completeness of teak order files prepared by Accounts Officer

5.      Inventory Management

·         Assist in General Inventory Count

·         Monitor the foreign purchase order process to ensure efficiency, completeness and compliance with internal processes

·         Preparation of costing for products

·         Weekly preparation and circulation of inventory file to management

6.      Financial Reporting

·         Assist in preparation of schedules for management account

·         Assist in the preparation of annual financial reports and any other related schedules

·         Assist in drafting the annual financial statement

·         Provide assistance during external audits by preparing requested documents and explaining procedures when necessary 

7.      Brochure

·         Assist in brochure verification 

8.      Perform any other cognate duties within the scope of responsibilities. 

9.      Academic Qualifications: SC, HSC, ACCA Level 2
