Indoor Sales & Customer Service Representative

Our client, a well-established company in the freight forwarding and shipping industry, is looking for a proactive Indoor Sales & Customer Service Representative to join its dynamic team.

Your Role
As an Indoor Sales & Customer Service Representative, you will play a key role in supporting the company's commercial growth while ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction. Acting as the central point of contact between customers, overseas agents, service providers, and the sales team, you will deliver efficient logistics solutions and contribute to the development of long-term business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop new business opportunities through outbound calls and customer prospecting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Prepare competitive freight quotations tailored to customers' requirements.
- Follow up on quotations and convert opportunities into confirmed business.
- Support the achievement of departmental sales objectives.
Customer Service
- Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle.
- Manage customer accounts and respond promptly to enquiries.
- Provide regular updates on import and export shipments.
- Resolve customer concerns efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure a positive customer experience on every interaction.
Operations & Coordination
- Coordinate with overseas agents, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, and other logistics partners.
- Request and negotiate freight rates with suppliers and service providers.
- Arrange shipments according to customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation.
Administration & Invoicing
- Verify supplier invoices for accuracy.
- Prepare and issue customer invoices.
- Ensure billing is accurate and completed within agreed timelines.
- Assist in maintaining operational and commercial records.

Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).

- Strong administrative and data entry skills.
- Ability to prepare accurate quotations and invoices.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, Logistics, Customer Service or Indoor Sales will be considered a strong advantage.
- Experience in import/export operations is highly desirable.
- A diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field would be an asset.
