Job Description
Automatic
Systems Ltd (ASL)
is a leading licensed betting operator in Mauritius, operating a network of 25
betting outlets across the island. We are seeking a dynamic, commercially
minded and results-oriented professional to join our team as Operations
Manager.
Key
Responsibilities
The
successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management and
continuous improvement of the Company's off-course, on-course and account
betting operations.
Key
responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage and oversee
the day-to-day operations of ASL's network of 25 betting outlets.
- Ensure that all
outlets operate efficiently and in compliance with the Company's policies,
procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular
visits to outlets, particularly on race days and to monitor operations,
provide operational support and ensure service standards are maintained.
- Supervise, guide
and support operational staff to achieve operational excellence.
- Monitor outlet
performance, identify operational issues and implement practical solutions
to improve efficiency and customer service.
- Develop and
implement strategies aimed at increasing sales, improving customer
experience and driving business growth.
- Identify new
business opportunities and recommend initiatives to strengthen and expand
the Company's operations.
- Work closely with
Management on operational planning, new projects, promotional activities
and the implementation of new products and services.
- Coordinate staffing
requirements and operational resources to ensure the smooth running of all
betting operations.
- Prepare operational
reports, analyse performance indicators and recommend improvements where
necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with internal departments and external stakeholders to support the Company's operational objectives.
Qualifications
and Experience
- Degree or Diploma
in Business Management, Operations Management, Marketing or a related
field.
- At least five (5)
years' relevant management experience.
- Experience in the
betting, gaming or gambling industry would be a significant advantage.
- Sound knowledge of
betting operations and horse racing would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated
experience in operations management, business development, sales or
marketing.
- Strong leadership,
organisational and people management skills.
- Excellent planning,
analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work
under pressure and meet operational deadlines.
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in
Microsoft Office applications.
- Holder of a valid
private motor vehicle driving licence.
