Job Description
The Finance & Strategy Associate will play a key role in supporting the financial decision‑making of Cim Finance’s Cards and Payments business. The role involves working closely with cross‑functional teams to analyze profitability, model new business opportunities, and contribute to strategic initiatives. Insights generated will support pricing strategies, product development, and cost optimization across the credit card and payments portfolio.
Responsibility
- Develop and maintain financial models to support the acquiring and issuing business.
- Conduct financial and strategic analysis for new business opportunities and initiatives.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities within the Cards department.
- Prepare business presentations and perform competitor benchmarking to inform decisions.
- Provide data‑driven insights to support strategy, pricing, and business performance.
- Analyze existing and new products to identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Prepare and manage P&L statements for the Cards and Payments portfolio.
- Work closely with Finance to ensure accuracy of income, costs, and reporting.
- Monitor key performance indicators and recommend actions to improve results.
- Collaborate with Marketing, IT, and other teams to support projects and campaigns.
- Identify and contribute to cost optimization initiatives across the business.
- Maintain a customer‑focused approach and build positive working relationships within the team.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to follow up on tasks and ensure timely completion.
- Support daily operations and carry out additional duties as required within the Business Unit.
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, or a related field
- 1–5 years of experience in the banking or payments industry
- Comfortable working with large datasets and drawing insights from data
- Hands‑on experience with financial modelling and strong proficiency in Excel
- Good analytical and logical reasoning skills
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal
