Job Description

Our client, a leading financial software company specializing in solutions for the credit-debt cycle, is seeking Financial Accountants to join its Shared Service Centre in Mauritius.


The working hours are from 11h00 to 19h30 with a hybrid work schedule (office/wfh)

 

Responsibilities:

·      Oversee Month end accounting close, including the production and review of accounting/financial reports for corporate and subsidiary divisions

·      Oversee accruals, prepayments, amortization, deposits, inter-company charge back, audit adjustment and misc. journal entries

·      Ensures accounting applications are properly maintained

·      Assists with defining and reviewing accounting and systems support processes and makes suggestions for improvement

·      Oversee Intercompany Postings and Reconciliation

·      Perform Full Cycle Accounts Payable

·      Perform Full Cycle Accounts Receivable

·      Cashflow reporting

·      Prepare Monthly Journal Entries and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations

·      Provide Support to the Divisional Accountants during Month-End Close

·      Prepare local tax filings & reconciliations

·      Preparing monthly reconciliations and the month end purchase and sales reconciliations

·      Perform accounting research and implementation of financial standards

·      Ensure the presentation to corporate of financial and tax data on a timely and accurate basis

 

Qualifications & Requirements

·      Be a self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude

·      Attention to detail with the ability to present/articulate analytical results and facilitate decision-making

·      ACA, ACCA, CPA is required. Accounting degree with considerable experience can also be considered.

·      Must have the ability to lead and influence the organization with integrity and respect

·      Ability to work varied shifts when needed to match the Shared Services requirements during critical periods of month end close, new transitions or strategic projects

·      At least 3 year of cumulative work and/or internship experience.
