Job Description
Air/Sea Freight Operations
Purpose:
The Freight Logistics Coordinator will
support the day-to-day coordination of import and export logistics activities,
ensuring timely shipment processing, accurate documentation, effective
stakeholder communication, and compliance with international trade and company
procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate
and manage freight bookings, ensuring timely scheduling and adherence to
customer requirements.
- Create and
prepare shipping documents as required and in compliance with
international trade regulations.
- Book
invoices accurately and efficiently into the company's system, ensuring
all relevant information is recorded and documented correctly.
- Liaise with
various local and overseas stakeholders to ensure seamless service.
- Assist in
the preparation of any other relevant documentation for freight import and
export shipments, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and
procedures.
- Collaborate
with the brokerage team and other departments to optimize logistics
processes, streamline operations, and improve efficiency.
- Provide
support and assistance to colleagues as needed, demonstrating teamwork and
cooperation in achieving departmental objectives.
- Handle leads
and costings while negotiating with airlines/shipping lines and other
suppliers to ensure the company secures the best deals.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain
Management or a related field.
- Experience in logistics or freight
forwarding is desirable.
- Excellent
organizational and multitasking skills.
- Good
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact
effectively with internal teams, external partners, and customers.
- Solid
understanding of Incoterms 2020, customs regulations and international
trade regulations.
- Fluency in
English and French; additional languages are a plus.
- Flexibility
to adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
