Job Description

Main duties and responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise daily housekeeping activities

• Ensure guest rooms, corridors, lobbies and public areas are cleaned and
maintained to established standards

• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities

• Coordinate deep cleaning and preventive maintenance schedules

• Monitor employee performance and provide coaching and development

• Ensure Compliance with workplace policies and procedures

• Manage housekeeping supplies, linens, uniforms and equipment

• Monitor inventory levels and place orders when necessary

• Control departmental expenses and operate within budget

• Maintain accurate records of stock usage and purchases

• Ensure compliance with health, hygiene and safety regulations

• Develop and implement housekeeping standards and procedures

• Handle guest complaints and service recovery professionally

• Work closely with Front Office to manage room status and guest requests

• Coordinate with Maintenance for repairs and preventive maintenance

• Conduct Safety inspections and ensure proper use of cleaning chemicals

• Train, supervise and evaluate housekeeping staff

• Implement Disciplinary and grievance procedures in conjunction with the HR
department

• Ensure all activity assigned is completed as per deadline.

• Constantly monitor staff morale to ensure that the personnel are kept in an
appropriate state of discipline, motivation and commitment to the objectives
of the organization at all times
